Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.

AndrewHi, my name is Andrew Ackerman. I am a violinist and engineer. This blog is where I share my passion and curiosity for music, science and unlocking our individual human potential.

My goal is to write articles and exercises that are practical and action-oriented.

Why ‘Musical Scientist?’

‘Musical’ because I am a musician and enjoy playing gigs and writing music charts. If I wasn’t paid, I’d still do it because I love music.

‘Scientist’ because I love to daydream and think about the world and of all the mysteries we have yet to unlock. My day-gig is software engineering, where I program and manage information systems. My other interests include Genetic Programming, Concentrated Solar Power and Automotive Performance and Efficiency.

Why ‘practical exercises for great thinkers?’

There exists a lot of great authors writing helpful articles and blogs. However for me, reading an article is not enough to make changes in my life; I need help putting ideas to work! With each article, my goal is to inspire you to take action: complete an exercise, discover the right questions, or learn the moral of the story.

Some ‘great thinkers’ happen to have very high IQ’s, but you do not need super intelligence to think great thoughts. Give yourself permission to think outside the box.

What kind of information is here?

A wide variety of topics are discussed here!

Most articles I write are researched from reliable publishers and authors; my sources will be cited as footnotes along with links to related topics or alternate views.

Some articles are purely opinion-pieces and will be so marked!

Remember, it’s on the Internet and I wrote it, so it must be true! ;)

I’d love to hear from you!

Andrew
